DRAWING YOUR STORY
with Emmanuel Lopez on Saturday August 15 11-2 pm
Registration is now open to our sixth free We All Have A Story Workshop as supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
We all have a story to tell and sometimes we need another person to listen to it and draw it out! Come join this unique, fun, storytelling workshop that will include drawing and writing. You don’t have to be an artist or writer to enjoy it!
More Details About What to Expect
Attendees will work in pairs. The process includes asking a list of questions about the other person while drawing their face. The more you learn, the more interesting the drawing and portrait will become! In the end a story will shine through!
Each person shares the drawing and their partner’s story with the group. Don’t worry if you are not an artist. Childlike drawings can be fun and funny and a warm laugh is good for our mental health.
Host/Facilitator will provide live drawing demonstration examples. Necessary materials and snack will also be provided. Please bring your own water bottle or other beverage in your own cup.
Host/Facilitator Bio
Emmanuel Lopez aka Motivatorman is an award-winning Illustrator, author, speaker, movie blogger, content creator, self-care influencer and foodie! He has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Globe & Mail and CBC Radio. His first book, Movies for Motivation, is available on Amazon Kindle and features top 55 films that helped him through years of clinical and seasonal depression.
At age 17, Emmanuel was the youngest Caricature Artist at Canada’s Wonderland during its first 5 opening years. He was trained by the original Disneyland artist trainer, Jess Rubio who worked with Walt Disney personally in the mid 50’s.
